Hey, Cedar Falls! A new Dupaco branch is on its way

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—Dupaco Community Credit Union is bringing its member-focused learning lab to Cedar Falls.

The full-service branch will be located at 126 Brandilynn Blvd., at the northeast corner of the intersection of Viking Road and Highway 58 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Dupaco’s Cedar Heights branch in Cedar Falls will relocate to the new learning lab in spring 2022.

About the Cedar Falls Learning Lab

The planned learning lab branch underpins the credit union’s mission to improve each member’s financial well-being. The branch design better enables Dupaco staff to help members understand and control their money through hands-on demonstration of Dupaco desktop, tablet, and mobile deposit services, and more.

On-site branch employees can focus on having deeper conversations with members about money, thanks to a technology called a live video teller. Live tellers will conduct real-time, face-to-face transactions from a distance. Dupaco employees located at a central location in Dubuque will remotely operate the Cedar Falls Learning Lab lobby and drive-through video teller machines.

The new video teller technology is intended to boost the credit union’s mission to improve each member’s financial position, according to Matt Loesche, vice president, regional branch services.

“Video tellers will give members more access to Dupaco branch employees in order to have deeper conversations about money, products and services,” he said. “We also expect the video tellers to increase future opportunities for member convenience—to serve more members, in more places, with expanded hours of service.”

The learning lab will feature:

  • iPad training counters to help members learn how to use Dupaco’s increasing number of convenient mobile services.
  • Interactive laboratory tables for small group discussions and offices.
  • Built-in electronic wall displays to aid in consultations about money.
  • Signage and lighting that use LED illumination to conserve energy and reduce electricity costs by more than 35% annually.

In addition to financial products and advice, Dupaco also offers insurance and investment services.

The credit union serves members in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. Its Iowa locations include Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, Marion, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Dyersville, Manchester and Carroll. Dupaco also serves members in Black Hawk County from these branches:

  • 1946 Schukei Rd., Waterloo
  • 218 W. Mullan Ave., Waterloo
