Was this a two-step verification code?

Two-step verification is a requirement for all Shine Online Banking accounts. We are unable to remove this security feature from your account as well as the alerts that follow.

If you don’t want to receive your 2-Step codes via email, add your mobile number to receive codes via text instead.

How to setup 2-Step codes via text

If you don’t want to receive your 2-Step codes via email, add your mobile number to receive codes via text instead. You can do so by updating your settings in either Shine Mobile or Shine Online.

In Shine Mobile:

Once you’re logged in, you can add your number via the “Two Step Notification” option of your Profile. Select “Add contact”, enter your number, and follow the prompts.

In Shine Online:

Once you’re logged in, mouse over “Profile”, select on “Edit Profile”. Under the “Actions” menu on the right hand side, select “edit two-step” and follow the prompts on screen.

Hint: These settings can be changed again later at any time.

How to Enter No Codes

If you don’t want to enter codes at all, follow these steps.

In Shine Mobile:

Enable face or fingerprint recognition or setup PIN Login. Once you’re logged in, you can configure either option from the Device Security section of your Profile.

Hint: Face and fingerprint recognition can’t be activated unless your device supports those options.

In Shine Online:

Choose “Trust” this device” (on your login screen). Doing so secures your account with the most recent login code entered.

Hint: Not recommended for computers or devices you don’t own.
