Mobile Payments
What are mobile payments?
Mobile payments come in various forms, including contactless payments. Safer than carrying your credit and debit cards around, mobile payments are becoming increasingly popular due to the lack of data saved on a retailer’s system. Users of mobile payments simply download the designated app that their operating system works on, and then uploads their card information either manually, or by taking a photo of the card itself. The app therefore works as a mobile wallet.

Contactless payments use Near Field Communication (NFC) to make secure and tokenized transactions. To determine if the transaction terminal at a retailer has contactless payment capabilities, look for the symbol shown to the right.
How has Dupaco adopted mobile payments?
Apple Pay was made available to Dupaco members in December 2014. Dupaco was one of the first financial institutions to integrate its credit card with Apple Pay. And as of February 2016, Google and Samsung Pay were each compatible with Dupaco's VISA credit card. Apple, Google, and Samsung Pay are now compatible with Dupaco's debit EMV MoneyCards as of April 2017.
