Award will support the Dupaco Foundation's ongoing investment in stronger communities
DUBUQUE, Iowa—Dupaco Credit Union has been awarded a $10,000 "Celebrate Your Story" grant from Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union in recognition of its efforts to strengthen nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve.
The award was presented through Alloya's "Celebrate Your Story" initiative, which recognizes credit unions that bring the cooperative spirit to life through service, partnership, financial wellness and community impact.
Dupaco was recognized for its Gift of Innovation, developed in partnership with The Innovation Lab. Rather than providing a traditional cash grant, the service-based program helps nonprofit organizations strengthen their long-term sustainability through strategic planning, organizational development, leadership support and capacity-building services.
The recognition reflects Dupaco’s commitment to strengthening communities by investing in the organizations that serve them.
“We are honored to be recognized by Alloya and grateful for this investment in our mission,” said Joe Hearn, president and CEO of Dupaco Credit Union. “At Dupaco, we believe that when communities thrive, everyone benefits. This award reflects the collective efforts of our employees, community partners and nonprofit organizations who work every day to make our communities stronger.”
Alloya launched the initiative as part of its celebration of 15 years of supporting credit union success. The program recognizes credit unions whose efforts demonstrate the power of cooperation and create meaningful impact for members and communities.
“We're especially thankful to Alloya for celebrating the impact credit unions make beyond financial services,” Hearn said. “Their commitment to recognizing and supporting community-focused initiatives reinforces the cooperative principles that unite credit unions and the communities we serve.”
