DUBUQUE, Iowa— I wasn’t always into technology until I got into college. But I’ve always enjoyed solving puzzles and figuring out how things worked—and why they don’t.
That curiosity led me to software development.
At Dupaco, I get to solve puzzles every day by building tools for our Shine Online and Mobile Banking apps and on Dupaco.com. It’s incredibly rewarding to know the work I do directly helps our members gain better access to their money and supports their financial well-being.
Financial literacy is something I’m passionate about. I learned a lot from tough financial experiences growing up. Those lessons taught me how important it is to understand money and how financial literacy plays such a big part in our daily lives, helping each one of us reach our goals.
I’m always excited to learn about our upcoming projects, diving in and then launching the new tools our teams develop. These tools help connect our members to their accounts no matter what situation they are in. Whether it’s someone wanting to learn more about finances, dealing with social anxieties, living far from a physical branch, lacking transportation or even vacationing—members rely on the accessibility and flexibility of our digital tools.
I have a great connection with my co-workers, and I am grateful that we’re given time to prioritize team building, whether it’s through volunteer opportunities, wellness challenges or other events. I enjoy our Crew Days and appreciate that we’re able to dedicate time to collaborate and grow together.
I’m proud to work for a credit union that is so committed to financial literacy and our members’ financial well-being.
I truly believe with all my heart that Dupaco is here to support our members. And working here has changed my life in the best way. I know my life wouldn’t be the same if it weren’t for Dupaco.
