Dupaco and Key City Creative Center (KCCC) are partnering to help one aspiring maker turn a creative dream into reality. Through one-on-one mentorship, you'll work with KCCC experts to take your idea from concept to completed project. Whether you envision a woodworking piece, welded sculpture, 3D printed innovation or something else, this program could help bring your project to life.

About the Program

From Inspiration to Completion

Have a creative project you've always wanted to tackle but aren't sure where to start? The Dream to Reality: Maker Mentorship Program connects one local maker with experienced KCCC mentors who will provide hands-on guidance every step of the way. Together, you'll develop a plan, learn new skills, overcome challenges and create something you're proud of—all while gaining valuable experience in a supportive makerspace environment.

One local maker will be selected for this opportunity. If chosen, you'll work toward a project you've been dreaming about with dedicated support from start to finish.

Get Expert Help

Receive personalized one-on-one mentorship from KCCC experts who will help you build skills, solve challenges and confidently move your idea forward from beginning to end.

Bring It to Life

Access KCCC's tools, equipment and project materials as you create. From January through June 2027, you'll create a finished project you can call your own.

Share Your Story

As part of the program, you'll share your journey and completed project through photos, videos or interviews. Together, we'll celebrate your progress and showcase your experience.

Create at KCCC

KCCC is Dubuque's collaborative makerspace where creativity comes to life. From woodworking and welding to 3D printing, pottery and textiles, you'll have access to expert guidance, specialized equipment and a community built around learning and making.
