Bright Track  is a free Dupaco service that helps you monitor and improve your credit score and report.

Within Shine Online Banking, Bright Track is only available to the Primary account holder. Credit score education is important at Dupaco. And we want to ensure that joint account holders have access to Bright Track, too. For information on how joint account holders may access Bright Track outside of Shine, please contact Dupaco.

No. Bright Track is entirely free for members who use Shine Online Banking. Log in as often as you want to check your score and credit report. No credit card information is required to register.

Dupaco works with a trusted third-party service provider, Savvy Money, to deliver your credit score and credit report directly to you through Bright Track. Dupaco does not receive this information from Savvy Money, therefore, no Dupaco employee can see your Bright Track credit score or report; it is confidential and available only for you to view within Shine Online Banking. In addition, Savvy Money will never share your personal information with outside entities.

The security of our members’ financial information is our top priority. Dupaco has partnered with a third party provider, Savvy Money, to deliver members’ credit scores and reports through Bright Track. Savvy Money applies its own security measures to Bright Track, and is certified by McAfee SecureTM, TRUSTe, and Norton Secured. Please note, when you accept the terms of service for Bright Track, you are providing your personal information such as name, date of birth, and Social Security Number to Savvy Money.

Yes. As of July 2017, members can now view their credit report in Bright Track. By reviewing your report, you may spot inaccuracies or suspicious activity.

Bright Track shows your Vantage credit score, which ranges from 300 to 850, along with key factors from your credit report that impact your score. It also includes a full credit report that provides a detailed view of your credit history, account detail, payment history, bankruptcies and other potentially derogatory items.

You may also request a copy of your full credit report annually at no cost from each of the three credit reporting bureaus (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) at www.annualcreditreport.com or by calling 877-322-8228.  Requesting your own credit report is considered a “soft inquiry” and will not impact your credit score.

Bright Track will automatically update your score once a month. You can update it more frequently by clicking “update” on the page that presents your score. When you log in you will see “Last update: [MM/DD/YYYY]” and “Monthly score update in [30] days” at the top of the page.

Over 200 factors of a credit report may be taken into account when calculating a credit score. There are three major credit reporting bureaus—Equifax, Experian and Transunion—and different scoring models that determine consumers’ credit scores. Each model may weigh credit factors differently, therefore no scoring model is identical. Financial institutions choose the bureaus and scoring models they use. No matter which credit bureau or credit scoring model is used, the following credit ranges remain consistent:

Bright Track gets credit histories from Transunion and uses the VantageScore credit scoring model. Because it was developed collaboratively by the three major credit bureaus, VantageScore seeks to make score information more uniform between the three bureaus to provide consumers a better picture of their credit health.

No. Dupaco uses its own lending criteria for making loan decisions and does not have access to your Bright Track credit score.

Along with Dupaco’s other free credit education services, Bright Track can help you lift and maintain your credit score so when it comes time for you to borrow money—for a home, car, or to pay for college—you may qualify for the lowest possible interest rate.

Should you find inaccuracies in your Bright Track credit account information, such as loans or lines of credit that aren’t yours, or inaccurate balances, there is a link within BrightTrack to file a dispute with TransUnion, the credit bureau that provides Bright Track its credit information.

To further protect yourself from credit inaccuracies and identify potential fraud, we recommended that you request one free credit report from each of the three credit bureaus annually at www.annualcreditreport.com. Each bureau has its own process for correcting inaccurate information. The Federal Trade Commission’s website offers step-by-step instructions on how to contact the bureaus and correct errors.

You may receive Dupaco offers on loans or services that may be of interest to you, and could provide you opportunities to save money.

No. Bright Track accesses your credit score as a “soft inquiry.” “Hard inquiries” are used by lenders when you apply for loans to help make decisions about your creditworthiness. Too many hard inquiries will lower a credit score. Using Bright Track to check your credit will not affect your score.

Yes. Bright Track offers free credit report monitoring which will alert you of certain types of changes to your credit report, including new credit accounts opened or attempted to be opened, delinquencies, bankruptcies, and more.

Yes. Bright Track is available for mobile and tablet devices through the free Dupaco Mobile app and via your mobile browser at: m.dupaco.com. Once you’ve signed into Dupaco Mobile, simply choose Bright Track from the main menu and follow the prompts.

You can disable access to your Bright Track credit score information. To disable, contact Dupaco or visit the Profile tab within Shine and look for the Bright Track Access section. To re-enable Bright Track access in the future, the primary member must contact Dupaco.
