Cedar Rapids Newspaper Reports Dupaco, Cryovac Merger

As Dupaco Community Credit Union prepares to welcome members from Cryovac Employees Credit Union, today's Cedar Rapids Gazette picks up news of the merger, which is effective tomorrow.

"The decision to merge with Dupaco was the culmination of an extensive research process. It began after the announcement of the pending the Cryovac plant's closure," report the Gazette.

"We conducted lengthy and deliberate fact-finding on financial institutions," said Larry Hess, chairman of the Cryovac Employees Credit Union board of directors. "Based on our research, we came to the conclusion that our members would benefit substantially by partnering with Dupaco, and after looking at the data, our members overwhelmingly agreed."
