| Legislation (SF 2279) provides additional matching funds for Iowa residents who open Individual Development Accounts (IDAs). These individuals must meet income guidelines, save their own money and obtain financial coaching. Combined funds are then used by the individual to purchase a specific asset such as a home, starting or expanding a small business, paying for education or job training or purchasing a vehicle. |

| Small Business Lending Enhancement Act (H.R. 1418, S.2231) would raise the credit union member business-lending cap from 12.25% to 27.5% of assets. This common sense provision could provide up to $13 billion to small businesses in the first year alone, and create over 140,000 new jobs at no cost to taxpayers. |
