Posted:March 31, 2010
Details: Dupaco will present a free educational seminar at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, on the topic of financial aid for college-bound students.

Co-presented by College Access Network and Dupaco, this informative seminar will provide students and their families an overview of the financial aid process, types of assistance available, how to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), scams to avoid, resources for help, and other important information. Questions from seminar attendees will also be addressed.

The seminar will be held at Dupaco's branch at 5865 Saratoga Road in Asbury, Iowa. There is no cost or obligation to attend and all are welcome. Reserve space online or by contacting Dupaco’s Consumer Lending Department at (563) 557-7600 / 800-373-7600, ext. 202.

According to Dupaco President and CEO Bob Hoefer, educational efforts and corresponding seminars are key components of the credit union's ongoing mission of service. "Higher education is a worthwhile investment that will pay dividends well beyond graduation," said Hoefer. "That’s exactly why we are offering this seminar, and why we go to great lengths to make the dream of attending college a reality for our members."
